The AKAP Foundation recently had the opportunity to conduct the HOPE Project (i.e., Helping Others Provide Education), where volunteers packed and distributed school supplies, candies, goods, games, and prayer teachings to Palale Elementary School and Minalungao Elementary School in Nueva Ecija. The event, held on June 22-23, 2024, was spearheaded by our dedicated volunteers Ma’am Dhel, Ma’am Jane, Ma’am Cecile, Sir Julius, Sir Harry, Sir Ron, Ma’am Grace, Sir Melpri, Sir Ryan, and Sir Christian.
In the week leading up to the event, volunteers purchased and packed all the necessary items and goods.
The day of the event proved to be quite challenging. The journey was tough, and the volunteers got lost along the way, finally arriving after a six-hour trip. However, the warm reception they received made the arduous journey worthwhile.
The residents, teachers, and students of these Nueva Ecija schools displayed remarkable discipline and hospitality.
One of the highlights was a performance of an Igorot dance by the students, showcasing their rich cultural heritage. The children were enthusiastic and quickly grasped the instructions for the games.
A total of 53 volunteers participated in this heartwarming project and were treated to the stunning landscapes and natural beauty of places like Minalungao National Park.
This journey was truly an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, especially for the HOPE-filled kids!
